David Maraniss on Finding Obama's Old Girlfriend: "It took a year and a half, and it was with the help of a researcher at the Washington Post who was wonderful. And what I did was I found, after a year, one of Clinton's friends said, David, I've got an envelope. And on it he says, by the way, I broke up with Genevieve. So, we had a first name, and I knew from the from his book, he describes how they go up to this leafy place in its Connecticut, obviously, you know, western Connecticut. So, I knew that that was a place in the Genevieve. And over the course of time, we went over every possible permutation of Genevieve in western Connecticut, eventually found a wedding announcement and everything fit."
