News24 host Rita Panahi discusses singer and rapper Macklemore being dropped from Ed Sheeran’s US stadium tour following his pro-Palestine speeches and controversial appearance. “Singer, rapper Macklemore has been dropped as the opening act on Ed Sheeran's US stadium tour,” Ms Panahi said. “It follows his free Palestine speeches at some of the recent shows. “Macklemore issued a statement, saying: Ed was in a f**ked up position. He knew it. His typical apolitical stance was being challenged in a way it never had been before. “We predicted this; he's not just an activist saying pro-Palestine statements; he’s not just saying free Palestine. He's dressed up in what has been called Jew-face in the past, which has been enormously upsetting to many people. “He’s been unapologetic about it.”
