Broadcaster Dee Dee Dunleavy defends singer and rapper Macklemore being dropped from Ed Sheeran’s tour, arguing he can express his views but cannot use another artist’s stage to promote them. “We have to be very careful not to allow him to be painted as a victim in this situation,” Ms Dunleavy told News24 host Rita Panahi. “He’s lost these shows on Ed Sheeran’s ticket, and I think rightly so. “He’s still entitled to say all the things he’s been saying, but he can’t do it on somebody else’s stage. “These venue owners have said we’re not going to give you our microphone in order to spread your message.”
