FBI Director Kash Patel on Tuesday touted the bureau's record under his leadership, highlighting his pledge to make the FBI faster and more efficient, embrace technology, reduce "weaponization," and "let good cops be cops." "Under President Trump's leadership, I'm proud to say we have not only accelerated that mission, we have delivered," he told the Senate Judiciary Committee in his opening statement. Mr. Patel cited the nationwide murder rate falling to a 20-year low, a 90% increase in FBI arrests of violent criminals and a 30% increase in arrests of violent gang members. He also spoke about bureau efforts to crack down on fentanyl, child predators and human traffickers, as well as its counterterrorism mission. "This has been the most prolific run of crime reduction in United States history," he told senators. #cspan #kashpatel #fbidirectory #testimony
