Spawn is an amazingly brutal and equally awesome antihero from Image Comics, and to mark the 35th anniversary of the character, creator Todd McFarlane collaborated with Mark Spears to create a limited prequel series called Spawn 77. This series is based on the original concept of the hellraising Spawn that McFarlane dreamed up when he was just 16 years old. The art style is a unique, fully painted, hyperrealistic style, and the plot takes place 15 years before Al Simmons donned the cape and began striking terror in the hearts of criminals. This storyline will explore a version of Spawn where he was just a regular human, powered by nothing but sheer willpower and a cocktail of morphine and speed. #SpawnComics #TheFirstSpawn #OriginalSpawn #imagecomics
