Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) on Wednesday railed against Speaker Mike Johnson's (R-LA) decision to cancel votes for the rest of the week, which means lawmakers won't return to the House floor until after the midterm elections. The Kentucky Republican took direct aim at the speaker, who had previously accused him of "not participating as a full member of the Congress." "I'm here today to let you know that I'm a full participating member of the House of Representatives. In fact, when other people want to go home, I'm here to work," Rep. Massie said at the start of an hourlong floor speech. "I'm here to get justice for the Epstein victims, the survivors. I am here to get the price of food and fuel down for our constituents. We've got solutions. We just refuse to pass them." Rep. Massie accused the speaker of cutting the calendar short to avoid action on his efforts to impeach Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and compel the Justice Department to release more Epstein files. #cspan #thom
