B.C. resident Roger Sauvain only started climbing the famous Grouse Grind when he was 60 years old. He has now been climbing it every day for 30 years. Sauvain said he got his time down to about 45 minutes when he was in his 70s, and now that he has reached a milestone birthday, he has climbed the over-2.5-kilometre-trail more than 10,000 times. Part of a community of peers who regularly climb the Grouse Grind, Sauvain celebrated his 90th birthday Thursday the best way he knew how — on the trail with some likeminded company.
