Trump has barred journalists from CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House after accusing the outlets of publishing “fake news,” with reporters from all three organizations denied entry and press credentials confiscated or disabled the following day. The move follows an ongoing legal battle with the Associated Press, which sued after the administration restricted its access over the outlet’s decision to continue using the name Gulf of Mexico alongside Trump’s preferred “Gulf of America.” Trump has said additional media organizations could face similar restrictions, setting up another dispute over presidential press access and First Amendment protections.
