World leaders are gathered in New York City for a high-stakes opening week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. U.S. President Donald Trump dominated the opening day Tuesday with a fiery speech, in which he threatened to annihilate Iran, comments that Prime Minister Mark Carney did not condemn. Carney is wrapping up his time at the United Nations, having used his visit to stress the need for countries to work together as the world faces war, energy shocks, climate change and economic uncertainty. The prime minister has also announced that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Canada in December. Global’s Mackenzie Gray joins Miranda Anthistle with the latest from New York City.
