Eric Deters canceled his Patriots Day Freedom Fest in Kentucky just days before the event after selling only six of the roughly 100 $1,000 VIP packages he had expected to finance the otherwise free gathering. The September 26 event was scheduled to feature Kid Rock, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Rep. James Comer, Republican congressional candidate Ed Gallrein and Fox News contributor Joe Concha. Deters said the cancellation was a financial decision, criticized wealthy contacts who declined to buy VIP packages and said he does not plan to hold the event again. Ring of Fire's Josh G. explains.
