Two passengers died and an Uber driver was seriously injured after a pickup truck travelling the wrong way collided with their vehicle on Highway 1 in Burnaby early Wednesday, RCMP said. A 34-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man, both from Surrey, died at the scene. Police said they suspected alcohol was involved; the pickup driver was arrested and later released. A witness described helping battle flames and trying to free the trapped Uber driver following the collision. Kristen Robinson reports.
