MS NOW reports that Trump administration officials have discussed attaching Trump’s name to Ford’s Theatre, the Washington landmark where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, as part of a broader list of federal properties being considered for presidential recognition. The White House called the report “completely false,” while the Interior Department separately said it was not true. Ford’s Theatre, the Petersen House and adjacent historic properties were formally designated the Ford’s Theatre National Historic Site in 1970, meaning a formal renaming would face significant legal and congressional hurdles.
