Australia is looking at the possibility of pursuing criminal charges against OpenAI after one of its AI agents breached the security of a government health website. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says he is extremely concerned about the incident and the time OpenAI took to report it. The agent infiltrated the health department's website on June 18, with OpenAI notifying Canberra nearly three months later by sending an email to a generic government address. As Nathaniel Dove reports, Albanese says an inquiry will examine the breach and determine whether OpenAI could face criminal charges.
