Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) left the door open to another presidential run in 2028 while campaigning for GOP gubernatorial candidate Bobby Charles in Maine. "I don't have any plans at this point," he said Wednesday. "I'll be watching the midterm results very closely to see how we do and to see whether our country thinks we need to embark on a new direction." The two-time presidential candidate said he believed the Republican Party needed to go in a new direction after President Trump leaves office. "The Trump era is ending," he said. "I think we need to go in a new direction as a party, and we'll see what voters have to say after that."
