C-SPAN's "America's Book Club" — Scott Turow, author and attorney, discussed the story behind his novel "Presumed Innocent" and its worldwide success. Mr. Turow recalled that it had been only three weeks before Hollywood offered to pay for the screen rights to the novel. "My assistant tracked me down — he told me the sum of money, which was more than I had made in all eight years that I had been an assistant U.S. attorney," he said. "And I said, 'What do I do?' He said, 'Turn it down, there'll be more.' He was right." Watch the full interview, filmed at @libraryofcongress, SUNDAY at 6pm and 9pm ET/PT on C-SPAN. #cspan #cspanabc #scottturow #books
