News24 contributor Kosha Gada highlights Chinese President Xi Jinping’s decision to travel to Washington rather than New York during UN week as the US and China manage their increasingly pivotal relationship. “Xi Jinping provided the perfect illustration; he flew across the Pacific during UN week and didn’t even bother going to New York,” Ms Gada told News24 host Danica De Giorgio. “Quite deliberately, he instead went to Washington, where the world’s two great competitors are sitting down as we speak to manage the defining fault line of the century, US-China relations.”
