An overwhelming majority of Canadians want Alberta to remain part of a unified Canada and would vote for their own province to do the same, according to exclusive Ipsos polling for Global News. Eighty-one per cent of Canadians said they want the Wild Rose province to remain in Canada, with just nine per cent saying they’d like to see Alberta leave. The desire for Alberta to remain in Canada was weaker in Quebec, which is having its own conversation about independence. Ipsos Public Affairs senior vice-president Gregory Jack joins Global News to analyze the data.
