The Department of Homeland Security originally identified as many as 15,903 potential noncitizens on Nevada’s voter rolls, later narrowing that figure to 185 people it said had undergone manual review. Nevada officials checked those records and responded that all 185 appeared to be U.S. citizens, telling DHS it had provided “nothing of substance” demonstrating otherwise. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court voted 6-3 to temporarily allow the Trump administration’s expanded SAVE citizenship-verification database to continue operating while litigation over privacy and voter-registration concerns proceeds.
