Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei stressed Tuesday that while AI has "incredible benefits," the technology poses "very real risks" that need to be addressed. "As the president has said, whoever wins AI, wins. I think that's very important, but I think the technology has very real risks," he said following a White House meeting with other tech leaders. The tech leaders signed a voluntary agreement, which President Trump called "morally binding," that seeks to govern the development of AI. "The mechanism, how we address those risks, is still under discussion," Mr. Amodei said. "But we all need to work together to make sure that we can win and we can win safely."
