Elon Musk on Tuesday painted an optimistic picture of an AI-driven future, saying the most likely outcome is an "age of abundance." "I think by far the most likely outcome is an age of abundance where we don't have just a universal basic income, we have universal high income," he told reporters following a White House meeting with top tech leaders. "When you have robots and you have superintelligence, it means that everyone in the world can have better medical care than anyone here, including me." Mr. Musk acknowledged AI would bring changes to the workforce but said that was true of any technological revolution. "Jobs are going to change. Jobs have always changed. I think we'll see an evolution of roles," he said. "I think the most likely outcome — and it's probably worth looking at the most likely outcome — is one which is incredibly beneficial," he added.
