Former Speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop launches a scathing attack on the Greens, accusing the party of courting Australia’s Islamic community in a bid to replicate the success of America’s socialist left. “I think the Greens, I call them the vile Greens, are cosying up to the Islamic community,” Ms Bishop told News24 host Rowan Dean. “They want to emulate what's happening in the United States with a socialist part of the Democratic Party, hoping that they will support them and vote for them. “He thinks that maybe he can pick up those Northern and Western Sydney seats and have some lower house representation.”
