Hey, welcome back to the channel, guys! So, Netflix just dropped its new seven-episode version of East of Eden, John Steinbeck’s magnum opus 1952 novel, with Florence Pugh playing the unforgettable villain Cathy Ames. And if you’ve been scrolling around online, you’ve probably seen a headline or two that made it seem like this show just adapts a part of the book. Honestly, even if you’ve seen a teaser, I can see why you think that might be the case, but it’s really not. I want to clear this up right from the get-go- the series actually tells the whole story. It starts all the way from the Trask brothers as kids right to the famous final word of the novel. #EastOfEden #EastOfEdenNetflix #BookVsShow #15Difference
