John Fetterman was the only Democrat to oppose a resolution seeking a State Department report on nine Americans killed in the West Bank since 2022, while Republican Rand Paul voted yes. The report would have covered the killing of Nasrallah Abu Siyam, a Philadelphia-born 19-year-old whose death prompted Gov. Josh Shapiro to request a federal investigation. Sen. Steve Daines objected to the measure’s potential suspension of security assistance to Israel if the report wasn’t provided. The resolution failed 47–51, with both Pennsylvania senators voting no.
