Shadow Home Affairs and Immigration Minister Jonathon Duniam says the Coalition will strike a middle ground between Labor and One Nation with its immigration policy. “It is a comprehensive plan and it’s one that is balanced,” Mr Duniam told News24. “We’ll of course actually do something to lower the numbers unlike Labor’s plan. “It gets that balance right between ensuring we can bring the numbers down and lift the standards but doing so in a way that doesn’t trash the economy with absolute disregard like One Nation’s policy does.”
