We have watched and recommended a whole bunch of werewolf movies on this channel….from all the way back to old classics like An American Werewolf in London to the 2000s bangers of Ginger Snaps and Dog Soldiers. Yep, we know our werewolf lore and all the possible metaphors it could carry. And I’m sure you do too. But when we watched The Cycle, well, we definitely were not expecting that. The movie completely flipped the script on typical werewolf mythology and challenged everything we knew about this mythical creatures. Infact, if you watch the film’s trailer or even start the actual film, you won’t even realize it’s a creature feature starring a werewolf until a little later on. The film pulls you into a gritty small town murder, and then slowly starts revealing its hand. And my favourite bit? The film’s premise or motto is "Some evil cannot be explained… only feared." #Werewolf #Lycanthropy #MonsterLore #CreatureDesign #horrorlore
