New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced a major expansion of subsidized childcare, saying the city will move 10,000 low-income families off the waitlist for affordable childcare. The initiative is expected to provide childcare access to more than 10,000 children as the administration works to address the city’s growing demand for subsidized care. During the announcement, Mamdani also mentioned rapper Cardi B, adding a pop-culture moment to the mayor’s latest policy push. The childcare expansion is part of Mamdani’s broader focus on making childcare more accessible and affordable for New York City families. #ZohranMamdani #Mamdani #CardiB #NYC #NewYorkCity #Childcare #FreeChildcare #ChildcareForAll #NYCChildcare #ChildcareWaitlist #AffordableChildcare #NYCPolitics #NewYorkPolitics #MamdaniAdministration #NYCMayor ► Subscribe to The Economic Times for the latest video updates.
