Mikayla Nogueira is getting candid about what led her to divorce Cody Hawken. The beauty influencer detailed how her ex-husband had relapsed multiple times in his sobriety journey during their two-year marriage, sharing how a near-fatal overdose ultimately led them to breakup in late 2025. "When you're with an addict, one of the things you worry about is, 'Will you wake up and they'll be there in the bed?'" Nogueira recalled in the Oct. 5 episode of the 'On Purpose With Jay Shetty' podcast. "And one night, I woke up and he wasn't in the bed." The 28-year-old said she ended up finding Hawken, also 28, "completely hunched over, unconscious" in another room, prompting her to frantically call 911. While the emergency dispatcher advised her to slap Hawken "as hard as you can in the face" as she waited for the ambulance, Nogueira said he remained unresponsive. Hawken ultimately survived the incident and looking back, Nogueira believes she "failed as a partner to Cody, but he failed me too."
