Now that I look back, it truly is funny to think how pressed all of us were when Lanterns was still in the promotional phase. Then eventually when it was released, the show was labeled as a True detective inspired buddy cop drama and while everyone and their uncle raved about the first season of True Detective, we all know what happened to its later seasons. After 8 weeks, now that Lanterns has finally wrapped up its first season by bringing the story of Earth’s first Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, and his eventual replacement, John Stewart, to an emotionally cathartic end, we are all wondering what is next for the show! With the mysteries surrounding Rushville, Nebraska, finally cleared up and Hal’s murder solved, the season feels like it has told a complete story.
