Irrespective of what some of you may believe, I love the Lanterns. I mean come on guys, DC wrote a show about legendary characters and yet made them so very human. They turned Hal Jordan’s fearlessness into a product of generational trauma, gave John Stewart his very own battle to overcome his version of fear and used their complicated mentor- student dynamic to weave a narrative about two men dismantling all the bad habits created by their repressed trauma, that too all in one episode. For me, this is easily the best writing DC has given us in years and the only other show that comes remotely close to it would be Peacemaker. I said what I said. Even if it is too early in the game to say anything, I think James Gunn is doing a banger job with the DC universe. #GreenLantern #Lanterns #DCCU #LanternsSeries #hbooriginals #chp
