An execution date of December 3 has been set for Nidal Hassan, the former Army major convicted of the 2009 attack on Fort Hood, Texas, where 13 unarmed Americans were killed and more than 30 others were injured. Acting Secretary of the US Army, Adam Telle made the announcement on his X page on Tuesday, adding that the execution by Army firing squad would happen at 1PM central time at Fort Hood, where the killings took place. Secretary of Defense/War, Pete Hegseth recommended the method of execution to President Donald Trump, who approved it earlier this week, making way for the execution to be scheduled.
