Steve Ditko, the man behind Spider-Man’s amazing sketches, also created the Ted Kord incarnation of DC's most underrated superhero, Blue Beetle. First of all, Blue Beetle is not just one superhero; it’s about three superheroes who took the mantle, with Dan Garrett and Jaime Reyes both connected to the Blue Beetle scarab. But while the original Blue Beetle, Dan Garrett, and later Jamie Reyes became physically attached to this technology, Ted Kord, the second Blue Beetle, completely relied on his own intelligence and fighting skills to become a superhero in the comics. First appearing in a Charlton comic, this character eventually landed in the DC universe, but despite being a truly heroic fella, most DC fans have barely remembered his name. Let’s take a quick look at Ted Kord's entire journey to find out what exactly happened to him. So without further ado, let’s get started. #TedKord #BlueBeetle #DanGarrett #jaimereyes
