New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was heckled by pro-Palestinian protesters while attending a vigil honoring the lives lost in the October 7 terror attacks by Hamas on Israel. Those demonstrators chanted, calling Mayor Mamdani a "traitor," accusing him of "genocide," claiming that he "cannot weaponize being brown anymore." The mayor drew criticism from the Jewish community in and outside of New York over his social media post on Wednesday, in which he honored the lives lost in the attack, but spent most of the post criticizing Israel for its "genocide on Gaza."
