Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of Carrie has split the Internet into camps. Some worshippers of the original novel are taken aback to see the blasphemy the filmmaker did to the beloved classic, while others cannot stop going gaga over the modern reimagining and trading the 1970s Chamberlain for 2026. As much as I love the book, I’m team Flanagan because what that man has put on screen is freaking brilliant! Yes, he has taken major creative liberties and turned certain elements almost upside down, but trust me, the series deserves every bit of our time and attention.
