President Trump told reporters Friday he "absolutely" approved the decision to execute Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan but suggested it remained an open question whether the execution would be livestreamed, as the Pentagon announced Thursday. "They're making a determination about that, but he will be killed. He will be, through firing squad," he told reporters. "I really don't care how he goes, as long as he goes. And I think that the death penalty is a very worthy way of going for him." Earlier in the day, Vice President JD Vance also cast doubt on whether the Pentagon would livestream the execution, saying he would not watch if it did. "I've seen these announcements, I don't know that that's actually going to happen," he told reporters in Ohio. Mr. Hasan was convicted of killing 13 people and injuring 32 others in a 2009 shooting at the military base in Texas. His execution is scheduled for Dec. 3. #forthood #trump #cspan
