Donald Trump called Natalie Harp “this perfect person” and compared their executive-order routine to “The Price Is Right” as she carried his diesel order onto a Nebraska rally stage. Trump presented the measure as allowing anyone to buy tax-free red diesel, but the order instead directs Treasury to determine whether the tax can be deferred and explore ways to eliminate the deferred amount later. Then he told Pete Ricketts and Jim Pillen the order “should absolutely assure your election,” turning a presidential action into part of the campaign rally itself. Ring of Fire's Josh G. explains.
