President Trump on Monday claimed that Russia and Ukraine agreed to an energy ceasefire because he "said they agree," despite Ukraine saying Russia continued to attack its energy facilities. "Well, they agreed. You know why? Because I said you agreed. That's why. They agreed because I said they agreed, and that thing has to get settled," President Trump said before departing for a rally in Ohio. On Sunday, President Trump announced that the two countries agreed to an "energy ceasefire" which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he did not know about, but would support. Despite the president's statement, Russia attacked a power plant in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv later that day. When asked about the attack, President Trump said "there's been violations on both sides." #energyceasefire #trump #ukraine #russia #putin #zelensky Download the FREE C-SPAN Now App. https://www.c-span.org/c-spanNow/ Discover the C-SPAN Video Library at https://www.c-span.org/quick
