Picture a town that doesn’t exist anymore. Two hundred people gone in just one single night; a house that collapsed on a mother and daughter who had love for each other in the most brutal way possible. And now don't come at me for saying this, but the one person who is actually supposed to be dead, because the book says so, because nearly every version of this story says so. ISN'T! And that person just gets to hop into a stranger’s car and drive away. I haven’t been able to shake that image since the finale of Carrie, because I don’t think Mike Flanagan would end a story so much as an open wound without any meaning behind it...like the guy let the dead get to be finished.
