At the Empire Club of Canada on Wednesday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford held a fireside chat with National Bank Vice Chair Andrew Furey on the uncertain trade relationship with the United States under the Trump administration. Ford said he frequently communicates with his U.S. counterparts and stated he has “yet to meet a Republican governor, senator or congressperson that said, ‘I endorse President Trump attacking our closest friend (Canada).’” Ford also called Trump’s recent move to purchase Russian diesel “absolutely mind-boggling” and believes “the ground is shifting” politically in the U.S. “If he (Trump) loses the Senate and the House, the Republicans are just going to pull the carpet out from underneath him.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on TikTok HERE: https://www.tiktok.com/@globalnews.ca?lang=en #GlobalNews
