It seems like 2026 is turning out to be one hell of a year for video game movie adaptations. I mean we started off with a pretty solid Mortal Kombat II, and Resident Evil probably impressed me the most, and now, it is time for Street Fighter to join the gang. Now, all of us who have witnessed some very mediocre adaptations over the years are rightly apprehensive about any new project, but after witnessing the impressive outings this year, I guess this might well be the year of redemption. As for the upcoming Street Fighter movie, I was intrigued by the trailers that promised a perfect blend of serious action and goofy B-movie vibes. The most exciting thing for me was that the director Kitao Sakurai understands what the franchise is all about, and now, the early reviews are out for the movie, and I cannot keep calm. #StreetFighter #StreetFighterMovie #StreetFighter2026
