According to The Wall Street Journal, Texas Attorney General and Senate candidate Ken Paxton spent New Year's Eve in Dubai with his girlfriend and two men wanted by federal authorities. One of those men has contributed $190,000 to Paxton's campaigns, including $25,000 shortly after an indictment, though neither man has been convicted and Paxton has not been accused of wrongdoing over the gathering. Trump's team was reportedly warned that damaging stories about Paxton could emerge before the president endorsed him anyway. Meanwhile, Kacey Musgraves joined James Talarico onstage in Dallas, and Kristi Noem's attempt to defend Paxton earned her a particularly memorable response. Ring of Fire's Josh G. explains.
