As of filming this, it sits at 60% from 122 reviews. This is the movie Disney bet the theatrical future of Star Wars on: the first Star Wars film in seven years. The supposed proof of concept is that the franchise still works, not only on the big screen, but at all. Star Wars is a severely damaged brand. And the trades — the very outlets whose economic survival depends on maintaining access to Disney screeners, set visits, junkets, and exclusives — could barely muster a defense for the Mandalorian and Grogu.
