Sony responded to the DRM 30-Day Online controversy with this: "Players can continue to access and play their purchased games as usual. A one-time online check is required to confirm the game's license, after which no further check-ins are required." That is the entire statement on something that critically needs clarification. There is no acknowledgement that this rollout was done secretly. Or why it was done at all. There is no discussion about the 30-day timer or why there would need to be a 30-day timer if the DRM is meant to check only once, as per their language. As of right now, there have been no updates to the End User License Agreement, storefront language, or the product pages to tell customers about these changes. Sony’s own AI bots have produced contradicting chat support, where some confirm the existence of a DRM and others downplay it as not real. What’s the truth? The Sony statement is incomplete in ways that materially change its meaning. • • • Try the Wizard's Hot Coc
