Just at the airport rushing to catch this flight, but I had to get on here real quick. Guys, mechanical tension is the only proven driver for hypertrophy. The pump, burn and soreness can all be indicators that you activated the targeted muscle, but they don't directly cause growth on their own or mean that you had a successful workout. What you really need to focus on is training close to failure while progressing the load over time and keeping your form consistent. That is how you actually build muscle.
