So an interesting fact about that itch you feel after taking pre-workout is that while it can be annoying and even panic-inducing for first time users... it's also completely useless and doesn't even mean the product is doing anything for you. It's caused by beta alanine which does improve training performance by reducing muscle acidity as fatigue builds up, but only during longer duration exercise lasting beyond 60 seconds which doesn't apply to standard hypertrophy training. And even when it does apply, the performance boost is literally a couple percent. It's also a saturation ingredient like creatine, meaning it has to build up in your system from daily use, so if you're only taking it through your pre-workout you're not getting a proper total weekly dose anyway. So unless you’re regularly doing very high-rep sets, or endurance style training, or you just enjoy the feeling of a tingling scrotum as you descend on each rep of hack squats, save your money for legit pre-workout ingredi
