Nutsack Fatigue Is Killing Your Gains

So this post definitely ruffled a few nutsacks but the guy's got a point. I mean there's nothing wrong with testing out novel lifts, but once an exercise checks the main boxes, meaning it's the correct movement pattern for the targeted muscle, stable enough that balance and bracing aren't limiting factors, can be progressed over time, and is joint friendly, that's usually enough to drive the majority if not all of your potential gains. Tweaking it further in terms of resistance profiles, fine tuning the setup to really bias a specific area, those things can help, but they'll have sharp diminishing returns past a pretty limited point. It's no different from how every variable in your program has a ceiling where the benefits cap out whether it's volume, frequency, intensity, calories, protein etcetera. Exercise optimization has its place, but it's not some sort of make or break thing you need to obsess over. I promise the reason your delts aren't growing isn't because you did a dumbbell
