Leg Extensions = WORST Quad Exercise

Saying that a leg extension is the worst quad exercise because it doesn't emphasize the stretch is kinda like saying a fork is the worst utensil because it doesn't hold soup. A complete training program involves multiple exercises that can serve different purposes, muscle length is not the only variable to consider when selecting movements, and the whole idea that more stretch automatically equals more gains in every situation isn't supported by the research anyway. It seems to vary between muscle groups and exercises, and when looking at the quads specifically, getting into deep knee flexion past a certain point doesn’t consistently show additional growth and even for muscles where it does the differences are pretty minor. So the fact that leg extensions aren't lengthened biased doesn't instantly make them an inferior choice since we don't even know how much if at all that actually matters here, and when they're about as good as it gets in every other category. High stability, low coo
